**UPDATE** 6th Annual Arizona Balloon Classic
Will be rescheduled: March 3rd, 4th and 5th 2017.
As the 6th Annual Arizona Balloon Classic draws near, our group has stayed apprised of the impending weather pattern coming into Phoenix. The national weather service has provided the following forecast for the area:
DATE FORECAST EVENTS AFFECTED
- Thursday, January 19, 2017 90% Chance of Rain Vendor Set-up
- Friday, January 20, 2017 100% Chance of Rain Vendor Set-up & Desert Glow
- Saturday, January 21, 2017 Up to 40 MPH Wind Gusts Desert Glow
Due to these unforeseen circumstances we will be rescheduling the 2017 Arizona Balloon Classic. Our goal has and will always be to provide a first-class event, not only for our fans, but also for our vendors and partners. The Arizona Balloon Classic is a weather permitting event based on the nature of what draws crowds, hot air balloons. As such, this is a position we have faced in the past and are prepared to handle.
Based on our statistical data, our digital and social marketing efforts have the event primed for the best turnout in five years. We are the premiere hot air balloon race and festival in town and have consistently grown in size and quality. The extra time affords the Arizona Balloon Classic better weather, increased advertising/public relations outreach, additional partners and more ticket sales, equating to a more enticing event with increased attendance and ultimately more sales and exposure for our vendors and partners.
We are currently in talks with the Phoenix Event & Sports Complex (Fear Farm) about rescheduling at the same location in early March. Continual communication will be provided as more information comes available, but please feel free to reach out with any questions in the meantime. Thank you for your time, understanding and support.
All the best,
The Arizona Balloon Classic
