ABC16 Classic Car Show Participant Waiver & Release
In consideration for being permitted to participate in the ABC16 Classic Car Show at the 16th Annual Arizona Balloon Classic, I acknowledge and agree to the following:
1. Voluntary Participation and Assumption of Risk
I understand that participation in a car show and attendance at a large public event involves inherent risks, including but not limited to vehicle movement, loading and unloading, staging, parking, interaction with other vehicles, participants and guests, uneven surfaces, weather conditions, equipment, crowds, and other conditions associated with an outdoor public event.
I voluntarily choose to participate and knowingly assume the ordinary risks associated with my participation, including the risk of personal injury, death, property damage, theft, or loss.
2. Vehicle Operation, Move-In, Placement and Move-Out
I agree to follow all instructions provided by Arizona Events Group, Arizona Balloon Classic staff, designated Classic Car Show Managers, venue personnel, security personnel, and other authorized event representatives.
I understand that event management controls vehicle staging, placement, parking, move-in and move-out procedures.
I agree that I will:
- operate my vehicle safely and cautiously while on event property;
- follow all designated routes, speed restrictions and staff instructions;
- park only in the location assigned to me;
- not move my vehicle within the public Car Show area unless authorized or directed by event staff;
- follow designated arrival, staging and departure procedures; and
- cooperate with Car Show Managers during move-in, the event and move-out.
3. Participant Conduct
The Arizona Balloon Classic is a family-friendly community event.
I agree to conduct myself respectfully and professionally toward guests, fellow participants, vendors, event personnel and Car Show Managers.
I understand that unsafe, threatening, abusive, seriously disruptive or inappropriate conduct, displays, signage, music or behavior may result in removal from the Classic Car Show or event.
4. Responsibility for Vehicle and Personal Property
I am responsible for my vehicle and all personal property that I bring to the event.
I understand that Arizona Events Group does not assume responsibility for theft, vandalism, loss or damage to my vehicle or personal property except to the extent responsibility cannot legally be waived.
I represent that I am the owner of the registered vehicle or otherwise have authorization from the owner to enter and display the vehicle.
I further represent that any vehicle I operate on event property is appropriately licensed, registered and insured as required by applicable law.
5. Release and Waiver
To the fullest extent permitted by Arizona law, I release and agree not to hold liable Arizona Events Group, the Arizona Balloon Classic, the event venue and its owner/operator, and their respective officers, directors, employees, contractors, agents, volunteers and authorized event representatives (“Released Parties”) for claims arising from the ordinary risks associated with my voluntary participation in the Classic Car Show.
IMPORTANT: To the extent the organizers intend this agreement to release claims arising from the ordinary negligence of any Released Party, I understand that such a release must be expressly stated and legally enforceable under applicable Arizona law. Final negligence-release language is subject to organizer/legal approval before this form is published.
Nothing in this agreement is intended to release liability that cannot lawfully be released or waived.
6. Compliance With Event Rules
I agree to comply with all applicable event rules, venue requirements, safety procedures and reasonable instructions from authorized event personnel.
I understand that failure to comply with these requirements may result in relocation of my vehicle or removal from the Classic Car Show or event.
7. Event Changes and Weather
I understand that event schedules, vehicle placement, operating procedures and activities may change due to weather, safety considerations, operational requirements or other circumstances.
Balloon activities and other outdoor event elements are weather dependent.
8. Electronic Agreement
By checking the agreement box below, typing my full legal name and submitting this registration, I acknowledge that:
- I have read this Participant Waiver & Release;
- I understand its terms;
- I have had the opportunity to ask questions before participating;
- I am agreeing voluntarily; and
- my typed name and electronic submission are intended to serve as my electronic signature.
